Background

The Flatiron5 is high-end men's a cappella. Based in Manhattan, this male quintet specializes in Doo Wop, Barbershop, and alternative selections. Founded in 1995, they continue to grace Gotham (and the Northeast) with their dynamic harmonies.

They have played such venues as Bloomingdale's, Chelsea Piers, Macy*s, the Marriott Marquis, the Plaza, the Pierre, Rockefeller Center, Sony Plaza, the Russian Tea Room, and the St. Regis. In 1997, the "5" made their national television debut on the Mother's Day edition of NBC's Today Show. Other noteworthy engagements include: National Helper's Awards, George Soros Foundation at MoMA, and the Yankees 1996 American League Championship dinner. In 2001, they received two honorable mentions (Best Group & Best Arrangement) at the New York edition of the Harmony Sweepstakes.

They have entertained mid-Atlantic passengers onboard Cunard's famous ocean liner, the QE2. They have also serenaded the likes of Peter Jennings, Gregory Hines, Rod Stewart, and Tony Randall who exclaimed: "Bravo, lads!"
