Mr. Filstrup has more than eight years of professional experience spanning the entertainment, news, finance, and retail industries.
He began his technology career at SiteSpecific, one of the original Internet startups of Silicon Alley. Since then, he has worked at large corporations like CBS and at e-commerce incubators like Online Retail Partners. Most recently, he was retained by Varentas Corporation to architect their Collaborative Retail Optimization system, the core of their business. He recently finished a project for Aspelle™ and is now working with Alliance Capital.
A strong technical project manager, Mr. Filstrup has designed and implemented systems for companies from AT&T to ZanyBrainy. He specializes in data architecture and taxonomy. Though the large-scale systems he touches are quite complex, he builds them with a focus on consistent interface, ease of use, and operation.
He has pioneered Product Mapping [patent pending], an attribute tagging system powered by a relational data model, to modernize and simplify product retrieval for retailers and their consumers.
Mr. Filstrup received his Batchelor of Arts in Architecture from Columbia College.
